Robert & Alana were married in the gorgeous Black Hills of South Dakota this past Sunday, and I feel so blessed to be part of their special day. Their intimate and romantic wedding was beautiful and every detail thought out. Their love for each other was the main attraction and their closest family & friends were their to witness their vows. The two met in the military which they both still serve (thank you both so much for your service & selflessness towards your country).
The day started out with a typical spring blizzard in the hills which soon melted off and gave way to a beautiful day to get married at the Blue Bell Lodge in Custer State Park. Alana, along with her sister Nicole and best friend Megan, spent the morning together sharing stories, reminiscing about the past and dreaming about the future of Robert & Alana's wonderful relationship.
The ceremony was officiated by Alana's oldest brother, Mike, who did an outstanding job. Robert & Alana had family from all corners of the United States attending the wedding. It was so great to see them all gather together to celebrate the wedding of the two military love-birds.
After the ceremony the bridal party and family gathered outside for portraits despite the bitter temperatures. Poor Robert & Alana barely survived outdoor portraits due to the cold but boy were they worth it! Thank you both for your willingness to go for a bit of a hike to achieve your wedding day portraits!
After portraits the wonderful dinner served by the Blue Bell Lodge began, including Buffalo Prime Rib, Baked Salmon, fresh grilled vegetables and wonderful salads (Custer State Park catering never disappoints). Alana's sister, Nicole, and both father's gave beautiful toasts and the rest of the evening was spent visiting and playing card games. It was such a beautiful wedding and I hope you all enjoy the images.
